26/11/2021 - Regulation 10 Notice - Purchase of Land for Council Housing ref: 3078    Recommendations Approved

Approval is sought to make an offer to purchase land utilising funds within the 1-4-1 replacement HRA property budget. The land for sale is being sold on the open market with planning permission. and represents a good opportunity for the Council to develop a small site for Council social rented housing. The offer price exceeds the financial threshold for a key decision but it is important that the Council is able to make a timely offer for the land in order to secure ownership. It is therefore impractical to defer this decision until this item has been included in the Regulation 9 Notice for the requisite period of 28 calendar days.
