To consider two new road names for the development at the junction of Craylands Lane and London Road.

 

Recommendation:

 

That the two new road names for the development at the junction of Craylands Lane and London Road be approved as Bazley and Cresswell.

Action under SO 38: A2 Bean and Ebbsfleet Junction Improvements: Environmental Impact Assessment, Side Road Orders, Compulsory Purchase Orders and Slip Road and Roundabout Orders pdf icon PDF 51 KB

Summary:

 

To report delegated action taken under Standing Order 38(2)(a) by the Managing Director, in consultation with the Chairman of the Cabinet, in relation to the Council’s response to the Highways England consultation on proposed improvements to the A2 Bean and Ebbsfleet junctions.

 

Recommendations:

 

1.  That Cabinet

 

(i)     notes the action taken by the Managing Director, in consultation with the Chairman of the Cabinet, under Standing Order 38(2)(a) in relation to the Council’s response to the Highways England consultation on proposed improvements to the A2 Bean and Ebbsfleet junctions;

 

(ii)    grants delegated authority to the Head of Regeneration and the Development Manager to represent the Council’s case with regard to the Public Inquiry into the A2 Bean and Ebbsfleet junction improvements, limited specifically to Highways Act 1980 matters, including agreeing a Statement of Common Ground with Highways England and any ancilliary matters arising  from the Council’s response to the consultation, but excluding matters related to the compulsory purchase of part of Council owned land at Spirits Rest Horse Sanctuary; and

 

2.  That a report be presented to Cabinet in due course, on the compulsory purchase of part of Council owned land at Spirits Rest Horse Sanctuary, dealing specifically with the compensation elements and the relocation of the displaced tenant’s animals to alternative grazing land in the Borough.
