Apologies for Absence

Minutes:

Apologies for absence were submitted on behalf of Councillors Burrell, Butterfill, Maddison, Oguntope, Oliver and Perfitt.

 

There were no substitute Members.

 

The Chairman welcomed Marie Kelly – Stone, the Head of Legal Services, to the meeting.  Mrs Kelly - Stone was present as our usual Legal Adviser was on holiday.

Fire Evacuation Procedure, Arrangements and Constraints Relating to Filming and Recording of the Meeting and Social Distancing Guidelines

Minutes:

 

The Clerk to the Board explained the fire evacuation procedure and the arrangements and constraints relating to the filming or recording of the meeting.

 

Additionally the public in attendance were reminded of the provisions regarding social distancing during the current pandemic.

To receive declarations of interest from Members including the terms(s) of the Grant of Dispensation (if any) by the Audit Board or Managing Director.

Proposal

The removal of a tree, in the front garden of the property, which is subject to Tree Preservation Order No. 2 of 1970.

 

Recommendation

Refusal.

Minutes:

The Board considered a report on an application to remove a tree in front garden of 57, Miskin Road, Dartford, Kent, which is subject to Tree Preservation Order No.2 of 1970.

 

Members’ attention was drawn to the update circulated.

 

The Chairman introduced Mr Uddin who spoke in support of the application.

That the application be refused for the reasons set out in the report

Minutes:

Members received, for information, a report on the decisions taken by Officers under delegated powers for the period 1 July to 1 September 2021.

 

The Chairman drew Members’ attention to the number of cases which had been dealt with in this fashion and asked that Officers be congratulated for their hard work during this period.

That the report be noted.

Mrs Jane Lynch

Minutes:

It was reported that Mrs Lynch, the Interim Development Manager, would be leaving the Council at the end of September 2021.  The Chairman asked that Members’ thanks to Mrs Lynch be recorded for the hard work and good humour which she had displayed during her time with Dartford.
